How To Make Your Own Hand and Face Scrub

There are plenty of people besides gardeners who could benefit from having a jar of this DIY Hand Scrub on their counter tops! This hand scrub would be great for chefs, mechanics, construction workers, plumbers, painters, artists, crafters, etc. Pretty much anyone who gets their hands dirty on a regular basis would benefit from owning a jar of this scrub. So when I make a jar for myself, I always make a few extras to give away as gifts! It’s a thoughtful, customizable alternative to store-bought gifts, and ensures you’ll never have to show up empty-handed to a party or dinner again.

I would personally recommend this hand scrub to just about anyone, for several reasons. First, it’s effective. Not only does it get your hands clean, but it makes them feel so soft, too! Second, it’s easy it is to make. You’ll only need three ingredients! And lastly, it’s quite affordable as well. The ingredients are inexpensive, and a little goes a long way!

Treat Dry Hands

Sometimes our hands can get dry, rough and in need of some intense moisture and exfoliation.  When this happens, run to your kitchen and whip up a batch of DIY Sugar Hand Scrub!  This is one of the easiest natural body products you can make at home, and you can make a month’s supply in only a couple of minutes, and for less than a couple dollars. This DIY sugar hand scrub works best when you rinse it with warm water after scrubbing.  It is ultra moisturizing, leaving your hands soft without the need of lotion.  It also exfoliates and helps get rid of any rough, dead skin on your palms.

Olive Oil is the easiest to work with and inexpensive. If you’d prefer to use coconut oil, fractionated coconut oil, or any other type of carrier oil (such as grapeseed, almond, jojoba), they’ll work great in this recipe, too! The addition of lavender essential oil makes this a calming and therapeutic blend. Try to use organic sugar cane because the granules are larger than in regular sugar, but you can use either for this Hand Scrub recipe.  You could also substitute in salt, for a gentler DIY hand scrub. This scrub works great on the hands, but it can also be used as a DIY foot scrub or body scrub. Here’s the easy hand scrub recipe!
